It is much more economical to buy a whole salad than a salad in bag.
The problem is that a green or curly lettuce is not easy to clean.
Especially if it comes from the garden and is full of dirt and insects.
Fortunately, there is an effective solution to wash a salad easily without spending too much water.
The trick is to wash it in the sink using the following steps:
1. Lay the lettuce with the foot up.
2. Remove the first leaves that are damaged and discard them.
3. Take the lettuce in one hand and lay it on its side to cut the foot.
4. Remove the leaves from the salad one by one.
5. Put the plug and fill your sink with not too cold water (it's easier to remove the soil).
6. Add a tablespoon of white vinegar.
7. Place the sheets in the sink.
8. Leave to soak for 10 min.
9. Stir and lift the leaves from the water several times to remove the soil.
10. Take the leaves out, put them in the wringer and wring them out.
There you go, your salad is well cleaned and ready to eat :-)
