A cheese grater is handy, except when you have to clean it ...
The cheese gets stuck in the little holes.
As a result, cheese residues are difficult to remove.
Avoid cleaning the grater with a sponge as you risk damaging it.
So what to do? The trick is to use a potato:
1. Take a potato and grate it to loosen the stuck cheese residue.
2. Put the grater directly in the dishwasher.
If, like me, you don't have a dishwasher, finish cleaning with an old toothbrush and rinse it with water.
Remember to pass the toothbrush from bottom to top so as not to grate the bristles of the brush.
There you go, your cheese grater is all clean :-)
If you don't have a potato on hand, this trick also works with a slice of lemon.
