Don't have a corkscrew handy?
Do not panic ! You will still be able to enjoy your bottle of wine.
There is an amazing and very effective trick to uncork your bottle of wine.
The trick is to use a shoe. Take a look:
1. Remove the collar of the bottle so that the cork can come out.
2. Put the bottom of the bottle against the heel of a shoe, inner side of the shoe.
The goal is to tap the bottom of the bottle gently against a wall using the heel of the shoe to cushion the shock and prevent the bottle from breaking.
3. Position your hand holding the bottle at the bottom of the neck so as not to take any risks.
4. Gently tap the bottom of the bottle against the wall, using the heel of the shoe well to cushion the shock.
5. After 5 strokes, the cork should be out far enough to remove by hand.
Be careful not to take it out too much by banging against the wall or it will come out on its own and the wine will spill everywhere.
There you go, now that your bottle is open, you can consume it in moderation :-)
