A handy trick to check whether your avocado is ripe.
Maturity check
Remove the stem from the avocado. If you see a nice avocado color underneath, you are almost certain that you have a good avocado. Is it brown underneath? Better choose another avocado.
Avocado ripen faster Is your avocado not ripe yet, but do you need it quickly? Place your avocado in the fruit bowl with other fruits. Bananas in particular ensure that avocados ripen faster.
