Ah, it's autumn and therefore the perfect time for a delicious hot drink. Although the pumpkin spice latte is a popular favorite during this period, there is another drink that we can not ignore:the caramel latte. Time to learn how to make it yourself!
It is absolutely not difficult and you don't even need a professional coffee maker, milk frother or other fancy equipment! In fact, you only need three ingredients and a few small tools – sounds good, right? Let's get started!

– 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso
– 175 milliliters of whole milk
– 15 milliliters of caramel syrup
1. To froth the milk without a milk frother, fill a clean, empty mason jar (or other large container with a lid) with milk about halfway to leave room for the froth. Put the lid on and shake the cup vigorously for about a minute. The milk should be frothy and take up about twice as much space.
2. Twist the lid off the cup and heat the cup without the lid in the microwave for 30 seconds. This will cause the foam to rise to the top of the cup; if it looks like a stable layer, it's ready to use.
3. Pour the milk over the hot freshly brewed espresso in your mug and use a spoon to gently scoop the extra frothy layer of milk on top. Make sure to use the foam immediately, otherwise the foam will collapse after a few minutes.
4. Finish your drink with a little caramel syrup on top. You can also add a little cinnamon powder or cocoa if you like – enjoy!
