There is obviously no shortage of ideas at Coca-Cola. For the past few months, the American giant has been constantly renewing itself by creating amazing new versions of its drinks:after the Coca-Cola flavored with coffee in the fall of 2017 and the Light Coca-Cola with 4 fruity flavors, it is a change of another order that the brand has just made. She has indeed developed a formula… alcoholic! Specially designed for the Japanese market where Chu-Hi – sweet drinks containing a small amount of alcohol sold in vending machines – are all the rage, the beverage contains a white distilled spirit, carbonated water, a sweet flavor for a result that reaches 3 to 8% alcohol.
Coca-Cola has already declined its novelty in several fruity flavors, including green apple, lemon-lime and peach-plum. Jorge Garduno, President of Coca-Cola Japan, said:"We have never launched a product that contains a little alcohol, and this is proof that we continue to explore new opportunities that move away from our very essence. […] This is a new experience specially created for our market ". This alcoholic version should not go beyond the Japanese borders and how to say… It suits us rather well! We must admit that we are not very tempted by the recipe... But the important thing is that the version pleases those who have access to it!
