You just helped yourself to half an onion. And you don't know what to do with the other half?
You are afraid that it will spoil if you simply put it in the fridge.
I thought like you.
And then I told my mother-in-law about it. Here's what she said to me:"Well, don't you know the butter and aluminum trick?"
Uh... No, I didn't know. But now, yes.
It's a simple, natural and almost free trick. And I'll deliver it to you right away. Watch:
Contents
1. Cut a small piece of fairly thin butter.
2. Lay it on the cut part of the onion.
3. Wrap the onion in a sheet of aluminum foil.
4. Put it in the fridge.
There you go, you can now keep your onion for several days :-)
Simple, practical and effective!
Thanks to this grandmother's trick, you can keep half an onion longer.
It avoids throwing it away after a few days when you don't need a whole onion for cooking.
