Are you getting tired of salads? It can still be nice in the fall. With these tips you can make your salad a bit more exciting.
1. Add fresh herbs
Fresh leaves of dill, tarragon or parsley give your salad that little bit extra. Do you take a salad to work? Then fold the fresh herbs in moist kitchen paper and sprinkle them over your salad during the lunch break.
2. Mix hard with soft
Make your salad more interesting by playing with structures. Alternate soft ingredients such as feta and finish with, for example, nuts and seeds.
3. Forget lettuce You don't necessarily need lettuce for a tasty salad. Replace it with other greens such as zucchini, cucumber or peas.
4. Follow the seasons Avoid eating the same salad over and over by playing with the seasons. For example, use pumpkin in the autumn and go for ingredients such as pear, kale and Brussels sprouts in winter.
5. Put it in a preserving jar
You can easily take salad with you in a preserving jar. Place the wet ingredients at the bottom or in a separate jar.
