The technique consists of using the skin of the onion as a handle to stabilize it. Watch:

How to

1. Instead of peeling the thick skin right away, just cut off one end of the onion.

2. Then fold over the thicker parts of the skin to form a natural handle.

Result

There you go, you can cut your onion into small pieces without risk :-)

This handle allows the onion to be much more stable. Especially when you get to the end of the cut.

With this trick, you will easily manage to cut the last small pieces that are normally difficult to cut and hold at the same time.
