Do you need good homemade breadcrumbs for your small dishes?
And you have leftover pieces of bread from the day before which start to harden, and therefore dry out.
It is the ideal combination for quickly preparing breadcrumbs, while saving money.
The very simple trick is to reduce very dry bread to crumbs. Here's how:
1. Cut your dry bread into small pieces.
2. Put them in a blender to obtain fine crumbs that you recover.
3. If you don't have a blender, wrap the bread in a clean kitchen towel.
4. Crush it with a rolling pin or any other heavy object (bottle...)
5. Collect the fine powder of bread crumbs.
There you go, you have made your homemade breadcrumbs :-)
The good little fish or meat dishes are yours. A good shepherd's pie, for example, is much better with breadcrumbs!
