Don't be tempted to cook your pasta in a pan that is too small.
Adding your pasta to a small amount of water lowers the temperature slightly more than adding pasta to a large amount of water. It therefore takes longer with less water before the water boils again. Meanwhile, the pasta is on the bottom, making the pasta more sticky. In addition, the wrong ratio between pasta and water can also cause your pasta to become sticky.
