Don't have time or don't feel like cooking after a busy work week? Sometimes a takeout meal can be very convenient. And it doesn't have to be unhealthy. A matter of conscious choice.
But what do you choose where to make those conscious choices? In the February issue of Santé, we made five handy lists for you with the best choices at the Italian, soup-to-go, the burger bar, the Thai or in the sandwich shop.
With the Italian
Take the Italian as an example. in Italy they sometimes serve pasta only with olive oil and garlic. The idea that you 'should' opt for a pizza or pasta with meat and sprinkle it with Parmesan cheese is nonsense. Less is more in Italian cuisine, so you can go for a lighter choice. The full list of what you would rather order and what not to order from the Italian if you go for a healthy choice, can be found in the February issue of Santé.
