After slicing garlic and onions, your hands can get quite smelly. Washing with soap and water does not work well enough in many cases. But there is a way to get your hands fresh again.
With stainless steel you get the smell off your hands. There are special stainless steel soaps, but in principle any stainless steel product is suitable. For example, rub your hands along the sink or tap and the smell will disappear.
There is no scientific evidence for exactly how it works. It seems that certain (sulphur) compounds that cause the odor stick to stainless steel.
