A creamy hummus is made with chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, salt and olive oil. Add a few extra ingredients in your blender or food processor and create a rainbow on your plate.

Purple hummus
Substitute the chickpeas for black beans to bring out some color. Add 2 garlic cloves and 3 small jalapeño peppers. Garnish with thin slices of jalapeo.
Green hummus
Add 2 garlic cloves and 1 cup cooked peas. As a topping, you can sprinkle finely chopped mint over it.
Yellow hummus
For a yellow color, add a teaspoon of turmeric and a head of roasted cauliflower.
Orange hummus
Replace chickpeas for white beans with half a cup of roasted pumpkin seeds, 3 cloves of garlic and a teaspoon of smoked paprika. Sprinkle a few pumpkin seeds on top for garnish.
Red hummus
Add 2 roasted beets, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika and a clove of garlic.
