Apeldoorn has a tasty scoop. At the end of this month, a real dessert-only restaurant will open its doors. 7 courses with only desserts! We love!
It is the dream of many restaurant visitors:a menu full of desserts. In America it is already more common and moreover 'normal' restaurants also like to see you there if you only want to order a dessert. We are now going to taste this concept for the first time in the Netherlands. Bring it on!

Master pastry chef Bart de Gans lets you enjoy dessert heaven for seven courses in a row. On the Zwitsal site in Apeldoorn, dessert-only restaurant De Dessertclub comes to life on 23 July. Organizer Tim Koldenhof explains:“We are going to offer a real meal replacement dessert menu, full of surprising creations and taste explosions. The site will be temporarily converted into a unique restaurant for this purpose”.
When you think of desserts, you naturally think of sweets. But Bart assures us that there will also be attention for savory elements. It is precisely because of this mix that you enjoy a nice balance of flavors throughout all courses. And there is also enough for the guests who do not have a sweet tooth.
What is also special is that the dessert-only concept can only be reserved this summer. So if you're that dessert-loving foodie or just fancy a unique dinner party, you'd better be quick. Every evening there is room for a maximum of 60 diners.
Psst, the photo with this article is not of the restaurant, for their unique creations you really have to book a table yourself!
