Pudding

huh? Pudding with oliebollen? Yes, of course. Read below what you need and how to make it. Easy peasy and surprisingly tasty.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of oliebollen, cut into slices
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 300 ml milk
  • 200 gr sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 apples
  • cinnamon
  • vanilla pod

Get started

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cut the oliebollen into slices and put them in a large bowl.

2. Boil the milk with the sugar, let the sugar dissolve completely and pour it over the pieces of oliebol. Add the whipped cream. Stir well.

3. Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces, add them to the oliebollen mixture. Add the egg yolks, vanilla and some cinnamon.

4. Grease a flat baking dish and put the mixture in it. Bake for 40 minutes – in the middle of the oven. Check after 30 minutes if the top does not turn too dark. If it does, cover it with a piece of aluminum foil.

5. Remove the dish from the oven and let everything cool. Then cut the whole into pieces and sprinkle some icing sugar on top. Stored in the fridge, your pudding will keep for 3 days.

Freeze, baby!

Yes, of course you can. Frozen oliebollen remain good for a long time. Make sure you only freeze them cooled (and never warm/warmed up). Do you have a nice comfort snack on hand on Blue Monday or another dreadful day? About 30 seconds in the microwave is all it takes to thaw one.
