Serves 6
Time to make:45 minutes
Cooking time:2 minutes
What we need:
For the donuts
– 500 g of flour
– 2 teaspoons of baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
– 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg (optional)
– 2 eggs
– 175g caster sugar
– 1 teaspoon of liquid vanilla
– 15 cl of milk
– 1 tablespoon melted butter
For decoration:
We use ready-made colored sugar paste:here the Candy Melt! To make all the characters we need red, white, brown, blue, yellow, purple and pink.
How do we do it?
1. In a bowl, mix:flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
2. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Add the sugar and vanilla until the mixture thickens.
3. Add the milk, melted butter, and finally the flour mixture. Beat until the mixture is homogeneous.
4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
5. On a floured board, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm.
6. We take a bowl or a cookie cutter to make the shape of the donuts.
7. Fry for a minute until lightly browned. Turn the donut over with a slotted spoon and let the other side cook for another minute.
8. Remove from fryer and place on absorbent paper.
We then decorate as on the model or according to the inspiration of the moment!
We melt the “candy melt” as written on the product and we let our creativity express itself!
We use a piping bag to make details such as the buttons on Mickey's shorts, Minnie's flower and the Donald and Daisy bow ties.
