After a long day of work, there is nothing better than relaxing with a glass of wine. The problem is that just opening a bottle inevitably leads to the same questions:Will it be at the right temperature? Should it be decanted? I finish it or not?
The D-Vine works with 10cl wine bottles – the equivalent of a glass of wine – with an integrated chip. The machine reads the information contained in the chip to aerate the wine and put it at the optimum temperature depending on its nature and maturity. Doesn't that remind you of a certain coffee machine acclaimed by Georges Clooney?
To use it, you simply place your glass on the stand, insert the bottle of wine into the tube located above the machine and then push it down with the half-sphere so that the wine flows. In less than a minute, the D-Vine aerates the wine and brings it to the ideal temperature. As a bonus, we receive a video of the winegrower and the oenologist on his smartphone, just to discover our wine heritage without moving from the sofa!
To get the D-Vine and the bottles, go to the 10-Vins website, which originated the concept. At 890€, the D-Vine not only allows you to taste wine without having to uncork an entire bottle, but also to enjoy a wide variety of wines. The start-up offers a list of around thirty red, white and rosé wines from €2 to €16 for the greatest vintage, and regularly forges partnerships with carefully selected winegrowers to expand the range. The bottles, patented, allow the wine to be stored for up to 3 years and, once used, can be recycled together with the glass.
