Wash the cherries, stem them and pit them. Coarsely crush the pits and put them in the red wine.
Boil wine and kernels for 10 minutes.
On the other hand, cook the pitted cherries, with the sugar and spices, for 10 minutes as well.
Put the cherries in a bowl. Pour the red wine over it through a sieve.
Serve hot in small bowls.
