We already know that certain foods can have an impact on our well-being. It is on the basis of this observation that scientists from the University of Oxford and Just eat, a home meal delivery company, have created an application capable of analyzing our state of mind. And for good reason:"There is growing evidence that our mood has a significant impact on our taste and smell," said Professor Charles Spence, head of the Crossmodal Research Laboratory and this initiative.
To do this, the application relies on "mood mapping", that is to say facial mapping. She scans our face and deciphers our emotions through expressions such as lowered lips or a frown. The application can therefore detect nervousness, disgust, fear, surprise, sadness or joy and make menu suggestions based on what it finds. A hint of anger? She will bet on soothing foods such as dark chocolate or nuts, which contain magnesium.
The lucky few who were able to test this new system available in Great Britain were satisfied. So, when will there be a French version?
