February 5th is World Nutella Day! Yippee! We thought it was the day or never when we were going to be able to eat it in abundance, without feeling guilty after having fucked the whole pot… Hmm hmm… Well no, it's a date that was (oddly ) established by a blogger, Sara Rosso who, in 2007, did not understand how the spread could not have a day exclusively dedicated to it. And to tell the truth, it's not to displease us... In fact, it's a day that allows the whole world to share their tips related to Nutella, their Nutella recipes, in short, their passion for Nutella ! In other words, we will breathe, eat and live Nutella during this day!
For us to fully realize our love for Nutella, you should know that we consume 2.7 kilos every second, or 1 million jars per day in France (according to the Planetoscope website). Over the year, that still represents 84,000 tonnes of Italian spreads that are tasted, a figure that corresponds to 26% of global consumption... It goes to show that we don't have the reputation of being gourmet for nothing ! And that's good, because in France we celebrate (damn well) Mardi Gras, which falls a week later... Coincidence?! We do not believe! Come on, we would make a little toast again, right?!
