Need to carry a full pot without getting it everywhere?
It's true that it's very practical when you go to get a dish at Grandma's.
The problem is that there is a big risk that the lid will not hold and that you will put it everywhere...
Fortunately, there is a very simple trick to keep the lid in place during transport.
The trick is to hang the cover with a simple rubber band . Watch:
1. Take a rubber band like this.
2. Pass the rubber band through one of the handles of the pan.
3. Pull it up to the wrist in the middle of the cover.
4. Take a turn with the elastic.
5. And hang it on the opposite handle.
There you go, with the rubber band in place, your lid is going to stay on the pot the whole way :-)
No risk of him packing up and spilling all of Grandma's dish on the floor!
Easy and convenient, right?
If it's a soup you're carrying in the pan, remember to put cling film under the lid first.
Of course this trick works for certain saucepans but also stewpots and pots.
