Do you like salad? Me, I love it!
The problem is that it fades quickly. And then we have to throw it away. What a waste!
Luckily, my grandma gave me an awesome trick to keep it for 3 or 4 days without it getting all wilted.
The trick to making it last longer is to use a damp cloth. Another good tip from my grandmother!
Contents
1. Dampen a tea towel.
2. Wrap the salad in the kitchen towel.
3. Put everything in the vegetable drawer.
And now, with this smart thing, I keep my green salad fresh for a good week :-)
That way, no bad surprise, I can eat it every day. And no more waste!
My grandmother told me another little thing. It's that the washed salad keeps for less time.
Even though it saved me time, now I avoid cleaning my salad for the week. I always wash it with a little white vinegar as I go let me eat it.
Then, to keep my salad, my grandmother told me to wet a tea towel and use it to wrap the salad. Once it's done, just put it in the vegetable drawer.
Being forced to throw my green salad in the trash, I admit, it made my heart a little twinge. I was thinking what a waste it was and also how much money I was spending for nothing.
At least now, with this very practical trick, I save the 3 € that it cost me to buy 2 or 3 salads a week, to replace the old ones.
And besides, even though I love salad, I no longer have to force myself to make myself sick of it to try to finish my greens at all costs, just to have a clear conscience.
