Overcooked your rice?
It's true that cooking rice is an art!
It's easy to let it overcook and it quickly becomes a sticky, gooey block that's not very appetizing.
But there's no question of throwing it away and making a mess!
Fortunately, my grandmother has a foolproof and super easy solution to "unstick" and catch up on overcooked rice.
The trick is to run it first under cold water and then in the pan for a few minutes . Watch:

1. Discard the rice cooking water in the sink.
2. Pass the rice under cold water.
3. Drain the rice in the colander.
4. Let the water drain.
5. Put the rice in the pan and heat over low heat.
And There you go ! Your overcooked rice is no longer sticky :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, right?
No more gooey inedible mash! The cold water flushes out the starch that sticks the grains together.
That way we avoid waste! But also digestion problems and weight gain due to starch.
Passing the rice under cold water neutralizes the starch that comes out of the rice when it cooks too long. That's what makes it sticky.
This cold water bath also eliminates the starch contained in the cooking water.
While cooking in the pan, you will be able to remove all the grains of rice with a fork to avoid having a very sticky rice.
