Wondering what to substitute for mascarpone in a recipe?
It's happened to me many times, especially when I'm preparing my famous homemade tiramisu!

So I talked to my dietitian about it and she told me her simple and effective tricks to replace it.
And icing on the cake... These alternatives are all much lighter and just as delicious.

But it has the merit of being very simple.
And you can always choose a lighter cream to limit the number of calories.
Fresh cream is the perfect substitute for mascarpone in recipes.
It's a bit like whipped cream, but without sugar!
The liquid cream is oily enough to bring that touch of smoothness that is so pleasant in the mouth.
Not against it, it is better to whip it to make whipped cream.
The white cheese it is a healthy solution to replace the too greasy mascarpone.
Moreover, it is often recommended to replace the crème fraîche with 0% fromage blanc.
So why not do the same with mascarpone?
In the same idea, the petit-suisses can very well replace the mascarpone.
Their texture is quite thick to bring consistency to your recipe.
On the calorie side, it's all a winner.
Did you know that a petit-suisse is only 18 calories for a 60 gram jar?
It's a cousin of mascarpone!
The ricotta is also an Italian fresh cheese, made with cow's or sheep's milk.
But it is much lighter than mascarpone.
There are 170 calories per 100 g.
If you want it to be a little more creamy and melting, you can add a little liquid cream.
Choose unsweetened condensed milk to replace mascarpone.
Condensed milk has only 134 calories per 100 g.
It is an excellent solution to have a lighter dessert .
To obtain a good texture, just remember to put it in the fridge the day before.
Then beat it as if you were making a light whipped cream.
You can make lighter desserts, but still creamy.
The Skyr is a yogurt traditionally eaten in Iceland.
Its consistency is somewhere between yogurt, cottage cheese and cottage cheese.
Its taste is naturally a little sweet.
It therefore has all the qualities to replace mascarpone, in a lighter version.
Even lighter than Skyr, stirred yogurt.
Greek yogurt lends itself very well to this use.
The texture is much less thick than that of mascarpone.
But it remains quite creamy.
On the other hand, with its 74 calories per 100 g, it is unquestionably the lightest solution.
It is a very good idea to mix two products.
This makes it possible to have a texture very close to mascarpone...
But with far fewer calories!
You can put fresh cheese like Philadelphia or Kiri and mix it with fresh cream.
You can make a mixture of half and half or 2/3 fresh cheese and 1/3 fresh cream, depending on the expected result.
Fans of mascarpone can adopt this technique.
We mix 2/3 mascarpone and 1/2 fresh cream lighter.
The result is a more airy and light mixture with a little less calories.
Are you looking for a vegan alternative to mascarpone?
So, consider soy milk yogurt! It is a good vegan, lactose-free alternative.
On the other hand, there is a little intermediate step before using it like mascarpone.
Your vegetable yogurt must be drained for 24 hours.
Know that once drained, your yogurt loses almost half of its volume.
So for 500g of yoghurt you get 250g.
