- 50 cl of milk:€0.71 per liter or €0.36
- 4 egg yolks:€1
- 80 g of honey:€6.19 per kilo, i.e. €0.50
- 20 cl of liquid cream:€2.90 per liter or €0.58
- 40 g of powdered sugar:€1.19 per kilo, i.e. €0.05
Either a gourmet ice cream costing me €0.62 per person or €2.49 for 4 people.
How to
Preparation: 5 mins - Cooking: 10 mins
1. In a saucepan, I heat the milk, honey and cream, mix well and let the preparation boil for 2 min.
2. I beat the egg yolks in a bowl and gently incorporate the hot preparation while whisking.
3. I pour everything into the saucepan and cook over low heat for 10 minutes while stirring regularly.
4. I let it cool for 1 hour, pour everything into a container and place the preparation in the freezer for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 500g very ripe strawberries:€6.48 per kilo, i.e. €3.24
- 80 g of powdered sugar:€1.19 per kilo, i.e. €0.10
- 20 cl of heavy cream:€3.70 per liter or €0.74
Either a refreshing ice cream costing me €1.02 per person or at €4.08 for 4 people.
How to
Preparation:5 min - Cooking:0 min
1. I wash and hull the strawberries then cut them in half.
2. If I don't have a blender, I mash the strawberry pieces in a bowl until a very fine puree is obtained using a fork.
3. I add the sugar and the cream to my preparation and I mix everything well.
4. I pour everything into a container that I place in the freezer about 3 hours before tasting.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 500 ml of coconut milk:€5 per liter or €2.50
- 2 eggs:€0.50
- 100 g grated coconut:€11.92 per kilo, i.e. €1.19
- 20 cl of heavy cream:€3.70 per liter or €0.74
- 80 g of powdered sugar:€1.19 per kilo, i.e. €0.10
Either a succulent homemade ice cream costing me €1.25 per person or at €5.03 for 4 people.
How to
Preparation: 10 mins - Cooking: 10 mins
1. I pour the coconut milk into a saucepan and heat it over low heat without letting it boil.
2. In a salad bowl, I separate the whites from the egg yolks, I whip the egg yolks while adding the sugar and the grated coconut.
3. I pour the hot coconut milk into a bowl while continuing to whisk the preparation.
4. I pour everything back into the saucepan and let it heat over low heat until the mixture thickens. I stir regularly and add the fresh cream.
5. I transfer the preparation into a container, let it cool for 1 hour and put it in the freezer for at least 3 hours.
