As soon as an apple is cut into pieces, it blackens quickly.
This is called oxidation.
So how do you keep the pieces from turning brown?
The trick is to use honey and water to keep the apple crisp and nicely colored. Watch:
1. In a container, pour a glass of water.
2. Add two tablespoons of honey.
3. Place the cut apple pieces in a bowl.
4. Pour the mixture on top to cover the apple pieces.
And that's it, no more pieces of apples that turn black :-)
Simple, practical and effective! And it's economical, because it saves you from throwing away the piece of apple you haven't eaten.
