It's your turn to host a dinner party. Don't panic, with these tips you are the perfect hostess.
Invitations
Send your invitations on time. Indicate clearly whether support is welcome. Ask everyone to let you know if they are coming.
Preparation
Make sure you choose dishes that you can prepare. On the day of dinner, prepare as much as possible. That way you avoid standing in the kitchen all evening and not getting anything from the dinner.
Extensive choice
If you're making a buffet, make sure there's something on the table for everyone. If you really want to cook, check whether there are vegetarians or people with allergies in the group.
Decor
A decorated room and table give your dinner more atmosphere. It doesn't have to be complicated:a nice tablecloth and some candles make a huge difference.
Enough to drink
Make sure you offer everyone enough to drink. Possibly put some drinks on a side table, so that everyone can grab themselves (after you have offered the first round of course).
Good atmosphere
Keep an eye on the atmosphere. Does everyone seem to be having a good time? If someone is a bit secluded from the group, strike up a conversation or ask them to help you in the kitchen.
