Recipe:Lettuce wraps with tuna and cucumber

These lettuce wraps are a delicious snack or lunch. You can replace the red onion with a spring onion or shallot, whichever you prefer!

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 LETTUCE WRAPS:

  • 1/8 cucumber
  • 1 can of tuna in olive oil
  • 4 snack tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (Zaanse, full variety)
  • 1 small red onion
  • 4 large lettuce leaves (e.g. Romaine lettuce)
  • salt and pepper

PREPARATION:

  • Leak the tuna well and mash the tuna with a fork, so that you have small pieces of tuna.
  • Cut the tomatoes (without seeds) into small pieces and finely chop the onion.
  • Cut the cucumber into small pieces.
  • Now combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise through it. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Put the lettuce leaves on a plate and spread the tuna mixture evenly on the lettuce leaves.
