Recently we shared the recipe spaghetti with zucchini and ricotta from Sicilian cuisine. Now we have another recipe from Sicily on the menu:spaghetti with tuna and capers. Tasty and easy to make.
Ingredients
500g tuna
100g capers
1 glass of white wine
3 glasses of water
Olive oil
Garlic
Mint
100 g tomato puree
Pinch cinnamon
Pinch of black pepper
1 onion
This is what you will do
Spaghetti with tuna and capers is quick to make. Cut the tuna into cubes. Fry the tuna cubes in a pan with olive oil, garlic and mint until the desired boiling point. Remove everything from the pan and set aside in a saucepan. Fry half a finely chopped onion in the same oil. Add the tomato paste, tuna, capers, 1 glass of white wine and 3 glasses of water. Season with a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of pepper, simmer for 45 minutes. Boil the spaghetti until al dente, drain and add to the tuna sauce. Serve with toasted bread cubes.
