Keep the line while eating balanced, we all want it! And if, in addition, I can do it by cooking quickly, that's the best.
With this light recipe, not only do I enjoy it, but I save a lot of money in my wallet.
And yes, eating well without spending more is possible!
- 8 slices of sandwich bread:around 360 g at €1.46 per kilo, i.e. €0.53
- 1 can of natural tuna:250 g at €9.68 per kilo, i.e. €2.42
- 4 tomatoes:around 480 g at €2.50 per kilo, i.e. €1.20
- 1 salad (oak leaf style):€0.99 each (but we will only use 4 leaves).
- 1 onion:around 100 g at €1.85 per kilo, i.e. €0.19
- Olive oil, salt &pepper
Or 4 homemade croques costing me €1.33 each or at €5.33 for 4 people.
1. I wash my lettuce in fresh water, wring it out and then dry it on a paper towel.
2. I rinse and then cut my tomatoes into thin slices.
3. I peel and slice my onion into rings.
4. I pour my tomatoes, the contents of my can of tuna and my cut onion into a salad bowl and I sprinkle everything with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. I mix, salt and pepper.
5. I toast my sandwich bread using my toaster or toast it for 3 minutes in the oven.
6. I place my salad leaves on my slices of bread (I cut them, if necessary, to make them the right size).
7. I then place my tuna-tomato-onion preparation on my salad using a large spoon.
8. I cover my toast with a slice of toasted sandwich bread.
Bon appetit!
Why not serve these salad and tomato croques as an aperitif? Lightweight, they will be greatly appreciated by your guests. Cut them in half to obtain triangles. This will make them easier to eat.
You can also prepare them with eggs cut into strips or surimi sticks cut into small pieces. Give free rein to your imagination and your desires!
