Do you get stress from cooking, is your countertop always a mess or are you just not much of a kitchen princess? Save time, frustration and clutter with these culinary tricks.
No citrus juicer at hand? Cut the lemon or lime in half, take the halves and make circles in the flesh with the top of a tablespoon for a lot of juice.
Do you have a hole for a handle in your cutting board? This works perfectly for letting finely chopped onion or vegetables fall through in a bowl.
Remove the fat from soup without hassle? Put ice cubes in the pan. The fat will float to the top and you can easily scoop it off.
Does your pan always boil over? Place a wooden spoon across the pan. Your pan will never overflow again and your stove will stay clean. The boiling bubbles burst when they hit the wood.
Dip raisins, dates or nuts in a little flour before adding them to your banana bread batter. This way they don't sink to the bottom during baking.

Byebye cluttered, cluttered kitchen cabinets. Use the inside of your cabinet doors to hang kitchen utensils and storage jars. This can be done with racks, hooks or adhesive magnets.
Your caked pan will be like new when you clean it and scrub it with dish soap and eggshells. Be careful not to rub the caked layer and not damage the non-stick coating.
Put something back in the bottle or jar without spilling? Clip the tip of a coffee filter for a quick disposable funnel.
Weak bunches of coriander, parsley or basil? They stay fresh for a week in a glass of water with a taut sandwich bag over it.
Put a slice of bread in your cookie jar. Your cookies stay fresh and delicious for longer because the bread absorbs moisture.
Never stir stiffly again to let the oil mix in your peanut butter, tahini or nut butters again. Just keep the jar upside down.
