It may not be very aesthetically pleasing, but the WearSens is revolutionary. If you wear it while eating, it will let you know when it's time to end the meal.
How does it work?
This new accessory (not trendy yet, but who knows what the future holds?) works with piezoelectricity (the property of certain bodies to become electrically polarized). Associated with a mobile application, it records the vibrations of your neck when you eat or drink and analyzes them. Based on your personal stats like your weight, height and age, it sets the amount of food you need and when you reach it, your phone notifies you that it's time to start another activity.
He knows what you eat!
The sensor is very sensory:in addition to knowing when you are eating, it can even tell what you are eating. Each type of food creates a particular variation of vibrations, from the jaw to the esophagus. And the collar can also determine if you are consuming a food or liquid that is hot or cold.
The calorie limit is exceeded
This innovation, which we owe to scientists from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles), can also warn you when you have reached your recommended calorie limit for the day and if you have abused a food in particular. After several internal tests, the prototype of the WearSens will now be officially tested to obtain the legal authorization to put the product on the market.
A novelty that could change our eating habits, but do we still have to want to wear this monitor. Are you tempted?
