Tasting “100% apples from France” juice? It's possible ! And for good reason, the charter formalizing the legitimacy of this label was approved this year, a few weeks ago. Clearly, we can now consume apple juice entirely produced in France! It is the APJPF (Association for the Promotion of Apple Juices of France) which is at the initiative of the label and the charter, both guarantees of quality and traceability. The goal ? Guarantee the origin of the product and promote French know-how in agriculture. Something to be proudly patriotic!
After the apple label created in 2010, it is the turn of the commitment charter to be presented and accepted on Thursday January 26, 2017 at the Ministry of Agriculture. Charter which contains strict health and safety rules to be followed to the letter. Yes, the title of 100% made in France has to be earned! Thus, distributors, processors and producers must commit to being transparent and respecting essential criteria in order to guarantee the consumer the 100% French origin of the apples used. Producers, for example, must ensure that they deliver healthy and duly controlled apples. The fruits used must be of high quality throughout all stages:from production to processing. Everything, absolutely everything, from harvesting, through processing and packaging, must be carried out on French territory. GMOs? They are obviously excluded! Obviously we are not joking with the promise of 100% local production! And so much the better, since all this should lead to responsible, carbon-limited and therefore sustainable production. Clearly, the best for our planet!
