An ice cream parlor based in Sarnia, in the Ontario region of Canada, has sent Twitter crazy with its new sweet creation:a cotton candy burrito filled with rainbow ice cream. This ultra-sweet dessert is made from cotton candy flattened to make a kind of compact tortilla (=which keeps the filling in place more easily) in which are placed balls of pina colada and bubble gum flavored ice cream , watermelon, orange etc, all sprinkled with “unicorn dust” and rolled up to make a real burrito. A pastel colored candy that will appeal to unicorn lovers. It's true that it's beautiful to see, but we have diabetes and cavities just by seeing pictures!
Sugar Sugar (it announces the color) not only created the craze for this new, very trendy and very instagramable dessert, the ice cream parlor also sparked a debate on Twitter. Some have protested against the name "burrito", recalling that this salty dish of Mexican origin is made from tortillas and rice and that cotton candy-ice cream has no characteristic of it, while others consider that anything that is rolled up and eaten is a burrito… It's quite a debate! And there is another debate that divides the web:between those who wanted to vomit in front of all this sugar and those who would be ready to travel miles to go to Canada to taste this wonder. In fact, some have! The sweet burrito is sold for 5.50 Canadian dollars, or about 3.75 euros, at Sugar Sugar in Sarnia, Canada.
Goodbye diet and hello unicorn burrito that looks as good as it tastes!
