Yes, yes, I assure you this vegan recipe really only has 1 ingredient!

In addition, the preparation of this recipe is as simple as its list of ingredients.

The result ? A delicious frozen dessert, full of freshness, with a very creamy and unctuous texture. A dessert that looks like this:

With only 1 ingredient and with a food processor, you will easily go from the 1st photo to the 2nd, in just 30 sec . You'll see, it's magic! Watch:
- 4 or 5 very ripe bananas
- a food processor
1. Peel 4-5 very ripe bananas (the riper the better — ideally the bananas should have a few brown spots).
2. Freeze the peeled bananas in a large freezer bag overnight, or until completely solid.
3. Cut the bananas into 1 cm pieces and put them in your food processor.
Note: do you see the banana pieces in the photo above? They are way too big and tend to get stuck on the robot blades. So don't make the same mistake I did. Cut your bananas into small pieces .
4. Put the bananas in the food processor. After about 45-60 seconds, they will be totally transformed into a frozen dessert with a smooth, creamy and light texture.
Note: take care not to too much blend the bananas, as the friction effect of the blades can melt the ice cream.
There you go, your banana ice cream is ready to enjoy :-)
If you can resist eating it right away, know that it keeps in the freezer for 2 days.
I always have a few spare bananas in my freezer, and you should too!
Why ? Because you never know when that irrepressible craving for banana ice cream may take hold of you!
Plus, frozen bananas are a staple in almost every good homemade smoothie recipe.
And believe me, there's nothing worse than wanting a good homemade smoothie and realizing you're out of frozen bananas!
You can easily store frozen bananas for 1 week.
Wait, we're not done! The banana ice cream recipe is delicious on its own, but why not add a few ingredients to turn it into a really dessert unforgettable?
Here are 4 ideas in addition to surprising perfumes to inspire you to take homemade frozen desserts to the next level.
To prepare the ice cream flavors below, add the ingredients for each recipe directly to your food processor, once the bananas have reached the desired smooth consistency.
Then pulse all the ingredients for 30 sec , to incorporate them well.
Of these 4 recipes, it was really the mint ice cream that impressed me the most.
This ice cream has a real taste of mint ice cream and almost no banana taste. The result really exceeded all my expectations!
For this recipe, add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and a handful of dark chocolate chips (lactose-free for vegans). Pulse the ingredients for 10-15 sec .
Another equally delicious recipe, and it has a vibrant color .
Add a few frozen cherries directly into the banana ice cream (it also works with fresh cherries, but use frozen cherries for ideal results) and a few drops of vanilla.
Mix everything by pulses until the ice cream takes on a very homogeneous pink color.
Optional: add a few chocolate chips for a little "Cherry Garcia" effect, like Ben &Jerry's famous ice cream.
This mixture cracks me up, because it reminds me a lot of the delicious homemade Bounty recipe.
Normal, this ice cream has all the ingredients to please:banana, coconut, and cocoa powder.
Add dried coconut (no added sugar) and 1-2 tablespoons cocoa powder to your banana ice cream.
Pulse for a few seconds, until well incorporated.
Try just one bite of this amazing flavor blend and you'll never believe it's made from just 3 ingredients:bananas, peanut butter and a few raisins.
Add 1-2 tbsp peanut butter and a handful of raisins and pulse for 30 seconds, or until peanut butter is well incorporated.
I loved combining all these flavors and creating my own perfumes. Besides, it gave me a great idea!
Why not organize an ice cream party by asking your friends to bring their own blends of ingredients to add!
In advance, prepare a good quantity of “plain” banana ice cream and store it in the freezer.
At dessert time, take out all the potential ingredients :chocolate chips, vanilla, coconut, peanut butter, frozen fruits, nuts, etc.
Then ask your friends to add 1-2 scoops of banana ice cream and their favorite ingredients to your food processor to create their own inimitable fragrance homemade ice cream.
Don't have a food processor? I recommend this one which is very practical, affordable with lots of good reviews.
