A cheeseburger prepared by a member of the Qatari royal family may be the most expensive ever sold. The giant burger, called the 'Seven Emirates Burgerstack', contains seven layers, one for each of the emirates of the United Arab Emirates - aged cheddar cheese and bacon strips of veal in a saffron brioche bun. It was created by Russell Impiazzi, culinary director of Le Gourmet at Dubai's Galeries Lafayette, and a member of Qatar's royal family, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani. The burger was made as part of a charity auction. The $29,633 burger was one of four auctioned, along with a number of other dishes.
