The cheap summer recipe that works every time:California tuna burger.
We brought this recipe back from a trip to California. It was the little fishmonger near the beach who introduced us to it.
Barely fished, he would grill us the tuna steaks on his barbecue and then concoct his magic burgers for us! The best fast food, and above all the healthiest.
For 2 people
- 2 tuna steaks (quite thick)
- 1 avocado
- 1 tomato
- spring onions
- fresh coriander
- Chinese hot sauce
- soy sauce
- mayonnaise
- burger bun
For this recipe, the most important thing is the preparation:you have to cut everything in advance , before cooking the tuna steaks, because it cooks in 2 minutes.
1. So start by mash the avocado with coriander and a little chilli, like a guacamole.
2. Cut the tomatoes and spring onions into thin slices.
3. Lightly toast the bread . On a slice, put a little mayonnaise, soy sauce and a few slices of tomato. On the other, spread a good dose of mashed avocado.
4. Then heat a frying pan (or on the barbecue for those who can), cook the tuna steaks 1 minute on each side so that they are still raw or pink in the center.
5. That's it, all you have to do is assemble your burgers!
There you go, your tuna burgers are ready to eat :-)
You can serve it with Thai rice for example.
