This week, I return to a classic:
Cocotte eggs.
An easy, economical and authentic recipe.
Good French cuisine as we like it.
So easy even a 5 year old could do it.
- 1 fresh egg
- 2 tablespoons of fresh cream
- 10g grated Gruyère (or Cantal cheese)
- Salt pepper
In a small, lightly buttered ramekin:
Put a tablespoon of fresh cream .
Break the egg inside.
Sprinkle with Gryère cheese and add the last spoonful of fresh cream on top.
Salt and pepper.
We agree, the preparation was rather fast, right? You will be happy, cooking too:
The recipe works perfectly in an oven.
Bake for 10 minutes at 240 degrees (Thermostat 8).
But the trick here, for those who like things to go fast, is to use the microwave .
Pass the ramekin 30 seconds at maximum power and you will get the same result as in the oven.
Like our dinner aperitif recipe, this recipe is really perfect when you have friends over.
And if some of your guests are not cheese fans, just add chives after cooking.
What I like about this recipe is that you don't have to spend 3 hours in the kitchen.
This inexpensive recipe is less than 1 euro per person. You will have no excuse to treat yourself.
Do you know the trick to choosing your eggs without being fooled by brands?
If you have eggs left after this recipe, you can always make an express natural hair mask;-).
