Autumn evenings are already here...
At that time, I like to eat a pie with a green salad.
Don't you?
There is one, easy and economical at the same time, which pleases everyone.
It's the potato and ham pie.
Contents
- 4 slices of cooked ham
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 120 g of flour
- 1/2 sachet of yeast
- 1 glass of water (20 cl)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- butter
- 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs
- 25 to 30 g of grated Gruyère
- salt, pepper, nutmeg
1. Peel, grate, wash and drain the potatoes.
2. Wipe them with a clean towel.
3. In a bowl, mix the grated potatoes with the flour, baking powder, water, oil, a little nutmeg, salt and pepper.
4. Divide this dough into 5 balls, which you flatten into pancakes.
5. Fry each pancake in a pan with a little butter, 3 min on each side.
6. Butter your meat pie.
7. Place a pancake, a slice of ham, another pancake and so on, ending with a pancake.
8. Then sprinkle with breadcrumbs and gruyère, then a few knobs of butter
9. Bake and broil for 15 to 20 minutes in the oven. 6 (180°)
There you go, your potato and ham pie is ready :-)
Easy to do, right?
Serve it hot, accompanied by a green salad.
This pie is perfect for autumn evenings, but also winter ones.
If you prefer, you can prepare two shortcrust pastry, and put the grated potatoes and the ham in strips in the middle.
The pie will be less crispy and won't look like a pancake. But it will also be a bit more expensive.
