With my express paella, I opt for a unique dish, to bring family and friends together around my table.
With this fragrant dish with Mediterranean flavors, I delight my guests for next to nothing!
Delicious and inexpensive, what could be better for a good shared time?
- 200g chicken breast
- 200 g of chorizo
- 200 g of cooked prawns
- 350 g rice (quick cooking)
- 150 g peas
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 pod of saffron
- Olive Oil
- Salt &pepper
Preparation: 20 mins - Cooking: 20 mins
1. Peel the onion and chop finely.
2. Peel the chorizo and cut it into thin rings.
3. Wash the peppers, deseed them and cut them into strips.
4. In a skillet, brown the small pieces of chicken and the chorizo with a drizzle of olive oil.
5. Then add the onion and peppers and cook for 5 min.
6. Add the rice and saffron, mix well then pour in 1 liter of water.
7. Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
8. Add my peas and prawns and simmer for 5-10 minutes until the rice is cooked.
9. Salt and pepper.
There you go, your paella is ready to eat :-)
Serve it hot.
Easy, fast and economical, right? This is the ideal dish to prepare for large tables, in the summer!
This basic express recipe can of course be declined in a multitude of variants:if you prefer fish, opt for seafood and choose some squid breasts, langoustines and mussels that you will add to this recipe.
And if you're more of a meat lover, garnish it with chicken drumsticks and a few diced pork.
