- 2 large slices of white bread
- 1 slice of white ham
- 50 g grated cheese (Gruyère or Emmental)
- A little milk
1. Take the rack out of your oven and lay aluminum foil over it.
2. Preheat your oven to maximum convection.
3. Meanwhile, pour 2 tablespoons of milk on a plate.
4. Put the slice of bread in it to soak it on both sides.
Note: this trick will save you from making a béchamel and will give a super soft side to the croque. In addition, you will save time and reduce cleaning a lot.
5. On the baking paper, place the slice of dry bread, the slice of ham on top.
6. Add the slice of bread soaked in milk on top.
7. Lay all the grated cheese like a small mountain on top of everything.
8. Put in the oven for 3 to 4 minutes, under a very lively grill.
