At home, a chicken dish and everyone is happy!
Relatively economical, low in fat… it has all the advantages.
On the other hand, its taste can be a bit bland.
So, for a change, I got into the habit of making this very fragrant lemon chicken recipe.
It is very easy to make and really tasty.
The combination of chicken and lemon is a success. Something to wake up our taste buds without weighing on my scale . Watch:
- 1 chicken
- 3 organic lemons
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 30 cl of chicken broth
- 2 onions
- Salt and pepper
- 1 bouquet garni
1. Cut your chicken into pieces or ask your butcher to do so.
2. Wash the lemons.
3. Cut them into not too thick slices.
4. Peel the onions.
5. Cut them finely.
6. On the heat, pour the oil into a fairly wide and deep saucepan (a wok or a casserole).
7. Sauté the onions over low heat. They must not color.
8. Add the chicken pieces.
9. Turn each part of the chicken well so that all the pieces are seared over high heat.
10. Add the lemon slices.
11. Season with salt and pepper and add the bouquet garni.
12. Prepare chicken broth as directed on package.
13. Pour it over the chicken.
14. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1h10.
There you go, your delicious lemon chicken is ready to be served :-)
It's a simple, economical and low-calorie recipe:ideal for my family!
You can serve it with green beans and bulgur for example for a balanced meal.
If you like it spicy, you can add a little grated or powdered ginger when you simmer the chicken.
