3. Add sugar, milk, egg and salt.
4. Then, add the flour gradually until you get a soft dough.
5. Knead the dough for 6-8 min, until it is smooth and elastic .
6. Put the dough in a clean, well-oiled bowl.
7. Cover the bowl with a tea towel and let the dough rest for 1 hour:it will double in volume.
8. Knead the dough to soften it.
9. Stir in the minced garlic.
10. Make small pieces of dough, the size of a golf ball.
11. Roll the pieces into balls.
12. Put them on a tray.
13. Cover the tray with a tea towel and leave to rest for 30 minutes, until the balls of dough double in size.
14. While waiting for the balls of dough to rise, preheat your oven to 200 - 230°C.
15. Flatten a ball of dough into a thin disc shape.
16. Lightly oil your oven rack.
17. Place the dough on the oven rack.
18. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until it is well puffed and lightly golden .
19. Brush the uncooked side with butter and flip the dough.
20. Now brush the other side of the dough as well (the baked side).
21. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until the pastry is lightly browned.
22. Take the dough out of the oven.
And now, it's ready to be devoured! Repeat the process until all the naans are cooked.
