The Easy Homemade Lemonade Recipe.

The sunny days are finally here!

And with the sun, my cravings for a very cold lemonade come back to me.

It's my favorite drink when the temperatures start to rise!

This year, my son asked me if we could make our own natural lemonade.

So, we tried this easy homemade lemonade recipe together.

The hardest part was finding a stoneware pot. My mom lent us one, but you can find one here.

Ingredients

- 4 liters of water

- 500g of sugar

- 1 or 2 organic lemons

- ½ handful of raw rice

- 1 stoneware pot

- Ginger or elderberry or raspberry liqueur

How to

1. Empty the 4 liters of water into the stoneware pot.

2. Add the sugar.

3. Wash the lemons.

4. Cut them into rings.

5. Put them in the pot.

6. Add the rice.

7. If you want to flavor your lemonade, add a piece of peeled ginger, a handful of elderberry or 1 tablespoon of raspberry liqueur.

8. Close or cover the jar.

9. Leave to macerate for 3 days. The longer the maceration, the more sparkling your lemonade will be.

10. Stir daily with a spoon.

11. Filter the mixture.

12. Transfer it to bottles.

13. Close those bottles.

14 . Chill them.

15. Wait 3 or 4 days before tasting!

Result

There you go, you made your own homemade lemonade :-)

It's simple isn't it? And delicious, you won't be able to settle for industrial lemonade anymore!

Additional advice

If you like the strong taste of lemon, put two. Otherwise one will suffice.

Here we appreciate the plain lemonade. But if you want to flavor your lemonade, just add the ingredients (fruit, liqueur, ginger, etc.) during maceration.

Good to know

The longer you macerate, the more sparkling your lemonade will be.

It is the fermentation of the rice in the stoneware pot that gives the lemonade its sparkling side.
