In the summer, many people do not want to spend too long in the kitchen, in order to enjoy the weather as much as possible. A tasty, quick and easy dish is therefore recommended. Here we have a recipe for a delicious summer dish:lamb wraps with guacamole.
Lamb wraps with guacamole
Preparation time:15 minutes (+ 30 minutes marinating time)
Cooking time:approx. 7 minutes
Ingredients for 6 large wraps (or 8 medium ones)
– 600 g lamb steak (of the bone, sliced)
– 6 large wraps (or 8 medium ones)
– 2 ripe avocados
– 2 limes
– 1 red onion
– 2 tomatoes
– 1/2 cucumber
– 1 romaine lettuce
– 2 tbsp chopped coriander
– 3 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 level teaspoon chili powder
– 1 level teaspoon ground cumin
– Salt and pepper
Preparation
Mix the vinegar, oil and spices in a bowl. Place the lamb steak in the marinade, cover and let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Mash the avocado flesh with a fork and add the lime juice (amount to taste). Season with salt and coriander. Deseed the tomatoes and cut them into cubes. Cut the cucumber into cubes and finely chop the onions. Wash and cut the romaine lettuce. Arrange all ingredients in separate bowls.
Preheat the pan without oil to a high temperature. When the pan is really hot, sear the lamb steaks for 90 seconds on both sides. Immediately reduce the temperature and simmer over very low heat for another 4 minutes (depending on whether the meat should be pink or well done). Season to taste and let rest for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the wraps between two plates in the microwave.
Finally, cut the meat into small strips and serve immediately. All ingredients are arranged on the table and everyone can put together their own wrap according to their own wishes.
