Steak is the common name for the tender meat of beef, which can be fried. To get a perfect result, it is important to be aware of the tenderness of the piece of meat you are grilling. Here are three easy steps to grill the perfect steak:
– If you are using a small grill, we recommend tempering the meat before grilling to avoid lowering the temperature on the grill and prolonging the cooking time. To give the meat extra flavor, salt and pepper are preferred, or to season it with a rub or a good marinade.
– A rub is a spice mixture consisting of different spices, and with which the meat should be rubbed in. If you want to make a good marinade, our rule of thumb “K.O.Z” is a good starting point. K for herbs, O for oil and Z for acid.
Hint: When grilling on direct heat, grill the food directly over the heat source. When grilling on indirect heat, the food is under a lid at some distance from the heat source, in the “cold zone”.
