Created in 1949, the Association of Master Chefs of France brings together more than 250 chefs scattered and established in France, in the DOM-TOMs, in Europe, America, Middle East and Africa.
Considered to be the most starred banner in the world, its objective is to maintain, evolve and transmit French gastronomy to the rank of art.
According to the Charter of Master Chefs of France of 1951, certain conditions must be met to become Master Chefs of France. A Maître Cuisinier may be dismissed if he lacks the quality of the cuisine and the upkeep of his establishment.
