The strainer is good, it's fresh.
And it's not just eaten as a dessert with sugar or jam.
Here are 3 easy-to-make recipes, for 2€00 maximum. Follow the guide!
- 1 goat cheese cheese (0€70)
- 2 handfuls of young nettle shoots
- 1 small cup of flowering ground ivy
- 1 small cup of Cardamine
- 1 small cup of maceron
- 2 handfuls of fragrant violet flowers
- olive oil, salt, and for the crunch (optional) some walnuts (0€40)
* I clean and finely chop all small plants (except violets)
* I add a little olive oil, sometimes a few drops of lemon
* I add the chopped walnuts and the violet flowers, I mix
* I salt pepper, and decorate with some violets and ivy.
* I reserve at the expense...
With lightly toasted bread and crunchy seasonal vegetables, here is a complete and original aperitif! You spend 1€10 approximately per strainer if you can collect the plants yourself.
If you have to buy trays of edible flowers in a herbalist, you will easily find a tray of mixed edible flowers, which can be used for several dishes. Thus, add 0€90 of flowers.
To accompany potatoes in the oven or on the barbecue, I found a simple and tasty recipe:
- 500g of cottage cheese (0€73)
- olive oil and vinegar
- shallot, basil, parsley, coriander, salt, pepper (0€50)
I chop everything, I mix everything, I season, it's very simple, ready in a few minutes, and so much better than mayonnaise or ketchup! It cost me 1€23 .
For the dessert part, a very simple idea, based on dandelion flowers:
- a cottage cheese (0€70)
- 20 dandelion flowers
- 400g of brown sugar (0€60)
- 500ml of water
- 4g of agar-agar (0€30)
I boil the flowers in water, with the sugar, for 30 minutes. At the end of cooking, I add the agar-agar and I leave to cook for another 5 minutes. I just have to coat the cheesecloth with the honey obtained during the dessert. If I collect dandelion flowers, it costs me 1€60 !
