I like to spend hours in my kitchen but sometimes it's so nice to just make a quick visit.
With these 3 quick and inexpensive recipes, you are going to enjoy it!
Ingredients for 4 People
- 6 small Swiss nature:either 360 g at €2.92 per kilo or €1.05
- 4 tablespoons of liquid caramel:around 60 g at €5.62 per kilo, i.e. €0.34
- 4 pears:around 480 g at €3.85 per kilo, i.e. €1.85
Or gourmet Pear-Caramel verrines costing me €0.81 per person or at €3.24 for 4 people.
Preparation:5 min - Cooking:0 min
1. In a salad bowl, I mix my Swiss rolls and my caramel.
2. I wash, peel then cut my pears into small cubes.
3. I divide my Swiss cheese preparation into 4 verrines then I add my pear pieces.
4. I pour on top of each verrine a small drizzle of caramel for decoration.
Ingredients for 4 People
- 500 g of strawberries:€6.48 per kilo, i.e. €3.24
- 100 g of powdered sugar:€1.19 per kilo, i.e. €0.12
- 2 eggs:€0.50
Either creamy strawberry cuts costing me €0.96 per person or €3.86 for 4 people.

1. I wash, drain and then hull my strawberries. I put some aside.
2. I place the others in a blender and blend. If you don't have a blender, mash your strawberries very finely with a fork.
3. In a bowl, I vigorously beat my egg whites and add, while continuing to beat, my powdered sugar.
4. I add my egg whites to my strawberry purée and mix.
5. I serve in individual cups (or glasses) and put a few whole strawberries on top of each of my cups.
Ingredients for 4 People
- 4 peaches:around 600 g at €2.99 per kilo, i.e. €1.79
- 4 apricots:around 180 g at €3.49 per kilo, i.e. €0.63
- 4 tablespoons of brown sugar (brown sugar):about 60 g at €2.28 per kilo or €0.14
Or refreshing fruit wrappers costing me €0.64 per person or €2.56 for 4 people.
Preparation:5 min - Cooking:5 min
1. I preheat my oven to 240°.
2. I cut 4 sheets of parchment paper.
3. I wash, peel and pit my peaches, cut them in 2 and place 2 peach halves in the center of each sheet.
4. I wash, pit my apricots, cut them in half and place 2 halves on each leaf next to my peach halves.
5. I sprinkle my fruits with brown sugar, then close each sheet of parchment paper to form a foil.
6. I place my papillotes in an ovenproof dish and bake for 5 min at 200°.
